Hunxho is 27 years old in 2026. Reliable music-industry sources agree that the Atlanta rapper was born in June 1999, although there is a small disagreement over whether his exact birthday is June 20 or June 22. Apple Music and Shazam list June 22, 1999, while some other public databases report June 20.
Hunxho, whose real name is Ibrahim Muhammad Dodo, has reached 27 after an unusually active rise through Atlanta’s rap scene. Before entering his late twenties, he had joined the XXL Freshman class, accumulated major RIAA certifications, crossed a reported billion streams, and built a catalog stretching from Street Poet to For Her 2 and Not One of Them.
Hunxho Age and Birthday
As of September 2026, Hunxho age is 27.
Apple Music currently gives his date of birth as June 22, 1999 and identifies Greensboro, North Carolina, as his birthplace. Shazam and AllMusic independently display the same June 22, 1999 birth date.
There is, however, a legitimate discrepancy worth explaining. Some widely circulated profiles give June 20, 1999 instead. Because Hunxho’s official 300 Entertainment artist materials do not appear to publish a birth date, it would be too strong to claim that the two-day difference has been conclusively settled through a primary birth record.
The important point for readers searching “hunxho age” is unaffected. Whether June 20 or June 22 is eventually established as the exact date, Hunxho was born in June 1999 and is 27 years old in 2026.

Why There Is Confusion About Hunxho’s Exact Birthday
The confusion is mostly about the day, not Hunxho’s age or birth year.
Apple Music gives June 22, 1999, while several other databases have circulated June 20. The 1999 birth year is much better supported. XXL described Hunxho as 25 years old in July 2024, which matches a June 1999 birth date.
An earlier HotNewHipHop interview provides another useful cross-check. The publication described Hunxho as 22 years old in June 2022, shortly before a person born in late June 1999 would have turned 23.
Those contemporary age references make claims that Hunxho was born in 2000, 2002 or another later year difficult to support.
Who Is Hunxho?
Hunxho is an American rapper, singer and songwriter whose real name is Ibrahim Muhammad Dodo. Apple Music describes him as being born in Greensboro, North Carolina, while his identity as an artist is strongly rooted in Atlanta.
In a direct HotNewHipHop interview, Hunxho said he is from the Eastside of Atlanta, specifically mentioning Glenwood and Second Avenue while discussing where he grew up and developed his identity.
That distinction explains why different profiles may call him an Atlanta rapper even though music databases identify Greensboro as his birthplace. Greensboro is where he was born, while East Atlanta is the community he represents musically.
What Is Hunxho’s Real Name?
Hunxho’s real name is Ibrahim Muhammad Dodo.
XXL published the name directly in its official profile for the 2024 XXL Freshman class. Apple Music also uses Ibrahim Muhammad Dodo in its biography of the rapper.
His stage name is pronounced like “Huncho.” Hunxho has explained that the unusual spelling goes back to his school years. In an interview, he said he began using an “x” in place of letters when he was younger and eventually kept the spelling that became Hunxho.
How Old Was Hunxho When His Career Started Taking Off?
Hunxho was only in his early twenties when his career began moving from Atlanta recognition toward a national audience.
XXL reported that after his release from jail in 2020, he concentrated heavily on music. His early Street Poet material laid the foundation, while “Let’s Get It“ became an important breakthrough and later received a remix featuring 21 Savage.
By 2022, Hunxho was approximately 22 to 23 years old and already releasing multiple projects. That period included Street Poetry and Xhosen. The latter had a particularly personal connection because Hunxho named the project after his son, Xhosen.
XXL reported that 2022 was especially significant for him. During that period he signed with 300 Entertainment, welcomed his son and moved into a new phase of his career.
How Hunxho Became More Widely Known
Hunxho’s growth was not based on one viral moment alone. His catalog expanded steadily as he combined street-centered writing with melodic and increasingly personal material.
His songs “Let’s Get It” and “Your Friends” became important records in that progression. The Recording Industry Association of America lists both among Hunxho’s certified recordings.
His visibility increased further in 2024. XXL selected him for its 2024 Freshman class, placing him among the artists the publication considered important emerging names in hip-hop that year.
Hunxho also appeared at the 2024 BET Awards Red Carpet Live Preshow, performing “Your Friends” and “Closer to Over.”
At an age when many artists are still establishing a first major project, Hunxho already had a sizable catalog and growing national profile.
Hunxho’s Albums and Career Growth
Hunxho’s age becomes more striking when compared with how much music he has released before turning 30.
In October 2024, 300 Entertainment released his full-length album Thank God, with guests including Don Toliver, Lil Durk, Mariah the Scientist, Polo G, Fridayy and Ty Dolla $ign.
He followed that productive period with For Us in January 2025. Apple Music described the project as both a celebration of his progress and an examination of the personal growth still ahead of him.
September 2025 brought For Her 2, a 16-track project released through 300 Entertainment that included the single “If Only” featuring 21 Savage.
The label reported around that time that Hunxho’s catalog had surpassed 1 billion total streams, although that figure comes from his record label rather than an independently audited public accounting.
His output continued into 2026. Apple Music lists Not One of Them, released February 6, 2026, as a 12-song project.
By August 2026, Apple Music also showed new standalone releases including “I Love My Hoe,” “Throw It” and “Change My Ways,” confirming that Hunxho remained actively releasing music at age 27.
Hunxho’s RIAA Certifications
Commercial certifications provide a more reliable measure of Hunxho’s success than unsupported online estimates of his wealth.
The RIAA database shows certifications for several of his recordings. In May 2026, For Her, “Interlude,” “Yes” and “By Tomorrow” received certifications, while earlier RIAA records also list “Let’s Get It” and “Your Friends.”
These records matter because they come from the organization responsible for Gold and Platinum certification in the United States rather than from fan pages or biography blogs.
Does Hunxho Have a Son?
Yes. Hunxho has publicly discussed his son Xhosen.
In his 2022 HotNewHipHop interview, he explained that the project Xhosen shared its name with his son. He also spoke about the importance of fatherhood and being present in his child’s life.
XXL later reported that Hunxho welcomed Xhosen during 2022, the same important period in which his music career accelerated.
Claims online about additional children are less consistently documented by strong sources, so they should not automatically be treated as confirmed.
Hunxho and Keyshia Cole’s Age Difference
Hunxho’s age attracted considerably more public attention when he dated R&B singer Keyshia Cole.
Their relationship generated discussion partly because Cole is significantly older than Hunxho. By May 2025, Complex was describing Hunxho as Cole’s ex-boyfriend, while reporting on Cole discussing the Hunxho tattoo she still had at the time.
Because celebrity relationship statuses can change quickly, older reports should not be used to describe Hunxho’s current romantic situation. There is no reason to assign him a current girlfriend or wife without clear, recent confirmation.
What Is Hunxho’s Net Worth?
There is no reliably verified public figure for Hunxho’s personal net worth.
Numerous entertainment websites publish estimates, but an estimate repeated by several websites is not the same as evidence. Hunxho is a recording artist signed to 300 Entertainment, has RIAA-certified music and has generated substantial streaming activity, but those facts do not reveal his personal assets, liabilities, royalty percentages, contract advances, taxes or expenses.
For that reason, claims confidently placing his net worth at a particular multimillion-dollar amount should be treated as speculation unless supported by financial filings, contract disclosures or a reliable statement from Hunxho or his representatives.
Why Hunxho’s Age Gets Searched So Often
The interest in Hunxho’s age is partly connected to how much he accomplished relatively early.
He was already discussing fatherhood and releasing increasingly personal music in his early twenties. By 25, XXL had placed him in its Freshman class. By 27, he had multiple major projects, certified records and a catalog that his label said had crossed one billion streams.
His album 22 may also contribute to age-related confusion. The title can look like a reference to his current age when viewed out of context, even though it is an older project and Hunxho is now well beyond 22.
